Client Overview

Client Name: AGILOX North America

Industry: Robotics and Automation

Location: Flowery Branch, Georgia

Facility Size: 30,000 sq ft

AGILOX North America is at the forefront of technological innovation. They specialize in Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), focusing on innovative material handling solutions. As a leader in the tech industry, maintaining a secure and reliable environment is crucial. This is especially important given the sensitive nature of their operations.

Client Challenges

At their Flowery Branch warehouse facility, AGILOX faced significant obstacles:

Connectivity Issues

Reliable and consistent internet connectivity is essential for the operation of their technology platforms. These platforms are utilized by their robots. In their expansive 30,000 sq ft facility, inconsistent network communications threatened operational efficiency and productivity.

Security Vulnerabilities

Alongside connectivity concerns, AGILOX faced security challenges. These challenges could potentially jeopardize their assets and personnel. They needed robust solutions to protect against internal and external burglary threats while ensuring the safety of their employees.

Protection of Perimeter and Access Points

Safeguarding the perimeter, internal gates, and doors, as well as high-value products within the warehouse, posed a considerable concern. AGILOX required an integrated security solution that enabled efficient personnel access and deterred unauthorized entry.

Solutions

To address these multifaceted challenges, AGILOX partnered with CFA Security & Low Voltage. CFA is a recognized expert in access control, burglar alarms, and low-voltage wiring installations. Here's how CFA implemented effective solutions:

Enhanced Connectivity Infrastructure

CFA Security installed advanced CAT-6 cable wiring drops, riser cables, and data racks. This created 26 access points throughout the warehouse. This optimization ensured seamless internet connectivity across the facility. It enabled uninterrupted communication for AGILOX's autonomous technology and operations.

Robust Security System Installation

To bolster security, CFA installed a Honeywell 8-Zone control panel. This panel is equipped with two keypads, contacts for doors, glass break detection devices, and long-range motion detectors. Covering the extensive warehouse area, this burglar alarm system required 1200 ft of alarm cable. This ensured comprehensive surveillance against threats.

Comprehensive Access Control

A cloud-based PDK access control solution was deployed. This system was designed to safeguard all critical entry points. It included eight door controllers, nine access card readers, a 600-pound gate maglock with a Z Bracket, exit request buttons, and motion sensors. Additionally, crash bars for the reception area were installed. A total of 3500 ft of access control cable wiring was seamlessly integrated to protect the warehouse.

Video Surveillance Implementation

CFA's installation of five high-resolution IP dome cameras was complemented by two weatherproof back boxes. An 8-channel 4K NVR with 1 Terabyte hard drive storage provided a robust video surveillance mechanism. This setup ensures AGILOX has access to 20-30 days of on-demand video recordings. This grants management 24/7 oversight of the warehouse environment.

Results

The collaboration between AGILOX North America and CFA Security & Low Voltage led to remarkable improvements:

Enhanced Operational Efficiency

With robust connectivity, AGILOX's AMRs and AGVs operate seamlessly. This has improved overall productivity.

Improved Security Measures

The implemented security system offers peace of mind. AGILOX can rest easy knowing that products, personnel, and sensitive information are well-protected from potential threats.

Streamlined Access Control

Effective access management ensures that only authorized personnel can access critical areas. This safeguards valuable assets.

Conclusion

CFA Security & Low Voltage provided AGILOX North America with tailored solutions. These solutions effectively addressed their security and connectivity challenges. By implementing a comprehensive security system and enhancing internet connectivity, AGILOX is now better positioned to continue its mission in leading the industry of autonomous mobile solutions. They can do this while ensuring a safe and efficient operational environment.
